As I started to dig some spuds on my friend's farm, I looked up to see if I was going to get rained on as I dug. The pinks and mauves of the poppies against that moody and angry sky just needed to be captured. I took a picture of this beautiful scene, and it has been a constant source of inspiration for me. This artwork is the abstract version of that photo.
